Ford plans to restart production of its electric F-150 Lightning pickup on March 13 – more than a month after a battery issue caused a vehicle to catch fire.
The update comes a day after Ford confirmed production of the F-150 Lightning had been suspended over a potential battery issue.
A new price increase of $4,000 means Ford has upped the entry-level pricing of the F-150 Lightning electric pickup by 40% since the vehicle’s launch.
