Remote workers are more likely to worry about being laid off and not being able to find a new job quickly, according to a new CNBC|Momentive survey.

There are still “many companies” who are hiring now and being the first to apply will give applicants an extra edge, said LinkedIn’s career expert.

A survey by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis found the nation’s largest employers laid off thousands between 2019 and 2021.
