Wholesale egg prices have declined by over 50% from their recent record highs. Retail prices may soon follow, but that’s not a sure thing.
The producer price index was expected to decrease 0.1% in December, according to Dow Jones estimates.
The producer price index, a measure of what companies get for their products in the pipeline, increased 0.3% for the month and 7.4% from a year ago.
